Our postdoctoral researcher Dr. Nan Xue presented his latest work at the Neurospora 2025 Conference through both a 3-minute talk and a poster titled “Macroscopic directional growth of Neurospora crassa in response to nutrient gradients.” The conference took place in Schroon Lake, New York between Oct 5-8.

His presentation highlighted ongoing efforts in our lab to design living materials built from mycelium and diatoms, aiming to harness biological growth for material fabrication.
